Second week of quarantine

Well we're out of quarantine now. We welcomed back churchgoers this Sunday morning. And we are looking forward to reopening the Guest House which has been closed since January 3rd.

We had a couple of scares when two brothers in succession experienced flu-like symptoms. They recovered within a couple of days and double-tested negative for Covid-19 infection. Phew!

Br. Robert Leo preached on Christian unity this morning (or should it be Christian diversity).

It is still mighty cold with no change in sight. The Coast Guard keeps breaking a channel amongst the ice floes on the Hudson. So far it has no frozen solid from bank to bank as it could still do... Thank God for central heating.

Some of those braving the cold for Sunday mass. From top left, clockwise: Anne and Larnie Hiller, from New Paltz, NY and Emilie Trautmann, also from New Paltz; our neighborly Sisters, Elizabeth and Shane, CMA; Br. Robert Leo who preached in conversation with Sarah Gardner, from Highland, NY.
