We give thanks for all of God's many blessings in our lives. Among those are our Holy Cross brothers, our Associates, our guests, our benefactors, our families and our friends. And the readers of our blogs!

We give thanks for all those who enable us to worship and to offer our ministries. Among those are our staff, our contractors and our volunteers. This past Monday, our new generator was lifted and moved into place on top of the new concrete pad that was laid for it. A special crane had to be rented to handle the maneuver.
This coming week, we hope to have the generator connected to the electrical grid and the gas supply. Then, it will still need to be inspected for safe installation before we can use it. Fingers crossed.
We give thanks for our monastic vocations that keep us worshiping, praying, studying and serving ad maiorem dei gloriam (to the greater glory of God). And we give thanks for feasts and fasts. But this past week, it was about feasting. We had a full house of guests to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with us. And our cooks did a wonderful job as usual, helped by Br. Daniel who baked delicious pies. And Friday was another feast for us as we celebrated the life and legacy of our founder, Father James Otis Sargent Huntington.
