Re-opening the Guest House

Our three-week Guest House closure came to an end on Thursday. As has been the tradition for the past several years we re-opened to welcome a large group of Education for Ministry (EfM) mentors.
On Thursday, Br. Aidan inaugurated what may easily become another tradition: Thursday Tea with the Guest Master. Any and all are invited to join our Guest Master and other members of the monastic community in the St Scholastica room for tea, goodies, and conversation. The blondies that Br. Aidan had baked were delicious and the conversation pleasant. Let's do that again soon!

Our EfM guests left on Saturday afternoon. So it was a quiet day in the Guest House for the few remaining guests. Our friends Monica, Heidi and Fernando arrived from Argentina on Sunday. They will be with us for a week. We have long supported the missionary work of Heidi and Monica in South Africa, Brazil and now, Argentina.
From the top, clockwise: Bros. Robert Leo and Carl vested for mass, waiting in the Conservatory (temporarily used as Sacristy); seasonal blooms from the garden in the church entrance; Br. Robert James showing our Chapter Room to missionary friends from Argentina (Fernando Ortiz, Heidi Schmidt, Monica Vega).
We are happy to be back into our hospitality groove. Come and visit us soon!
