All Saints

Today, Brother Scott Borden, having secured a long term visa for his living in South Africa is returning to our Saint Benedict Priory in Hermanus after having visited us for several weeks.

This weekend, we hosted fourteen Associates for a retreat on types of prayers (with and without words). On Saturday, we had the pleasure of listening to gaelic harp concert of our friend James Ruff. The concert's theme was a pilgrimage to Walsingham through the ages.

After the concert, we treated our Associates and other guests to a social in Pilgrim Hall.

From top, clockwise: the Associates retreat with Br. Bernard in the Saint Gregory's room; James Ruff  warming up before the concert; Br. Josép in his office (cum plant conservatory) giving a singing lesson;
two long-time friends (Br. Robert James and James Ruff); James during the concert.

This Sunday, we anticipate the feast of All Saints. We celebrate All Saints on Halloween.

The blooms report. From top left, clockwise: roses gracing St Benedict's icon for All Saints; mums welcoming the guests at the Guest House entrance; mums and asters in the flower beds (two pictures); mums from the garden welcoming worshippers to the chapel.

Wishing you lots of treats and a few fun tricks.
