Cooling weather

This past week, Br. Josép visited his mom in Florida. And Br. Bernard visited General Theological Seminary in NYC to provide spiritual direction to students and faculty.

Br. Adam McCoy is visiting for a few days of research in the Order's archives in view of writing biographical notices to remember Brothers Rafael Campbell-Dixon, Thomas Schultze and Richard Vaggione on the days of their death's anniversary.

The night temperatures finally dropped below freezing point and the landscape is reacting accordingly. The turning of the leaves accelerated and the last flowers in the garden are wilting. The "blooming reports" of the next several months will feature more florist blooms.

Br. Aidan and Yanick Savain "put to bed" our two beehives for the winter. This involves reducing the entrance to the hives to keep mice from moving in with the bees and giving the hives a modicum of insulation against winter winds.

Fall sights. From top left, clockwise: turning leaves and morning fog on the meadow (2 pictures); a more sunny fall sight on the Hudson River; Roses, Alstroemeria, Baby's Breath and berries for the Lady and Child statue; Roses, Alstroemeria and Ivy for the ambo on All Saints.

Happy Fall for those of you in the Northern hemisphere.
