On the cusp of Holy Week

Br. Josép continues his active participation in the Monastic Formators Program in Rome. Follow his adventures on his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/josep.martinezcubero.

Two weeks ago, Br. Bernard got to lead a quiet day for the Church of the Good Samaritan in the Bronx, a.k.a. L'Eglise du Bon Samaritain, a mostly Haitian congregation under the leadership of Father Sam Owen. The day was spent in three languages: Kréol, English and French.

Mission in the Bronx and Guests at home. From top left, clockwise: congregants of Bon Samaritain with Br. Bernard; The Rev. Suzanne Guthrie's offering to the monks on Mothering Sunday; Guests helping themselves to dinner in the refectory; three friends who receive group spiritual direction from Br. Randy - the Rev. Matt Oprendek, the Rev. Steven Lee and the the Rev. Nate Lee; Guests chatting in the hallway while awaiting the signal for the next meal in the refectory; Br. Ephrem reading the menu in the refectory.

Br. Robert James picked up Br. Lawrence at his nursing home to be with us for Palm Sunday. Lawrence is most often upbeat and joyous. It's a pleasure to have him with us on feast days.

May you have a blessed Holy Week.
