Goings, comings, clothing

This past week saw a lot of movement in who's at home. On Wednesday, Bros. Luc and Edwin left for Saint Benedict's Priory where Edwin is stationed and where Luc will be for three months.

On Friday, we welcomed back Br. Josias Morobi, a novice from our priory in Hermanus, South Africa. He and Edwin crossed paths in the Cape Town airport on the same day (but without seeing each other). Josias will be with us in West Park until May. Like Edwin before him, he will participate in our formation program.

The other big news of the week is that on Thursday, Samuel Kennedy was clothed as a novice. With Josias in the house, we now have FOUR novices with us. We love it. Thanks be to God! Br. Josép, our Formator, has his job cut out for himself. Please hold him and Marc, Anthony, Samuel and Josias in your prayers.

Samuel's clothing as a Novice. From top left, clockwise: Br. Robert James, our Superior, questions Samuel on his desire to pursue his monastic vocation among us; Br. Samuel returns from the sacristy after having exchanged his Postulant cassock for his monastic habit with the help of his formator, Br. Josép (2 pictures); our three West Park Novices with their formator (Bros. Anthony, Samuel, Josép and Marc); our newest Novice with Br. Robert James, the Superior and Br. Josép, the Formator; Samuel being blessed with holy water by the Superior; Samuel embracing members of the community.

So many blessings! We are very fortunate.
